The easiest way to rent a vehicle
The following documents are required upon pickup:
- Passport
- A credit card with sufficient funds for the deposit
- Valid driver’s license
- International driver’s license “If applicable”
- reservation voucher.
No document and/or permit in digital format or photocopy will be accepted. This also includes any supporting document, such as proof of address, proof of identity or any other document necessary to formalize the rental contract.
Additional drivers will also need to carry their driver’s license.
- Â
- The driver must always present his or her driving license to pick up the vehicle.
- Please note that provisional driving licenses are not accepted.
- If you do not have a driving license, it is necessary to have an international driving license to rent a vehicle.
- Remember that all documents and permits must be originals.
No document and/or permit in digital format or photocopy will be accepted. This also includes any supporting document, such as proof of address, proof of identity or any other document necessary to formalize the rental contract.
In most cases, HDC Renta Car will ask you to leave a deposit when you pick up the vehicle.
You will also pay for any extras or accessories requested, for example GPS or child seat, and any additional drivers.
There could be more additional costs depending on the rental location, the age of the drivers or the type of trip. For example: Airport or location tax, refueling, seasonal, young or senior driver, after hours, roadside assistance, mileage or supplement for taking the vehicle outside the state of Florida.
You must have an international driving permit to rent a vehicle. Yes, if the driver’s license is not fully translated into English, it is mandatory.
Unfortunately, in most cases the driver needs a credit card to rent a car.
For this reason, a security deposit will be blocked on the main driver’s credit card before signing the rental contract and handing over the keys to the vehicle. Without a credit card, the company will not be able to block the deposit, so it will not proceed with the vehicle reservation.
It should be noted that in some cases it is also possible to pay the vehicle rental with a debit card. It is advisable to contact us in advance before making the reservation and we will help you find a solution.
Unfortunately it is not possible. The credit card holder must be present and listed on the vehicle rental contract as an additional driver.
Your vehicle rental must have:
Partial Collision Coverage (CDW).
Theft Coverage (TP).
Third Party Liability (TPL).
Since these are mandatory to circulate in the State of Florida.
When making your reservation you must include the insurance coverage that best suits your needs.
Collision Partial Coverage (CDW) is a type of coverage for rental vehicles. This reduces the financial responsibility (excess) of the driver in case of damage to the vehicle, this means that the rental company will not charge the total cost of repair, it will only be the portion corresponding to the excess.
Theft coverage (TP) is a type of coverage for rental vehicles. This reduces the financial responsibility (excess) of the driver in the event of theft of the vehicle, this means that the rental company will not charge the total cost for the theft of the vehicle, it will only be the portion corresponding to the excess.
Third Party Liability (TPL). It is a type of coverage for rental vehicles. This reduces the financial responsibility (excess) of the driver in case of damage to third parties and property, this means that the rental company will not charge the full cost of the damages, it will only be the portion corresponding to the excess.
